Two Months Down... A lot more to go

Another month has come and gone, and I am still blessed beyond belief that I am in the city. May was a good month, it was a much needed month, since I was my first FULL month working at iN Demand and while it isn't the ideal job or my "dream job" it is getting me in the right direction in order to achieve that dream position. Sometimes you just have to be patient and God will do the rest. Through my time here different verses are going to pop out at me but I think this verse more than anything really is my life verse while I am going through this journey...

Hebrews 10:36 NTL "Parient endurance is what you need now, so that you will continue to do God's will. Then you will receive all that he has promised."

That verse has stayed with me since I read it last week, and is a constant reminder that in everything I do, it's not for my satisfaction but for the satisfaction of God. That is why I live everyday for him no matter what the situation.

May Highlights

It's hard to pick out just a couple highlights from the month of May, but both are centered around home and Chesapeake. A couple weeks ago some long time friends of mine came to town and I was able to connect with them, Mrs. Boisseau and Leslie took a random trip up to NYC and it was the perfect medicine I needed, being away from home is a big challenge for me, and especially not being able to see my family and friends as much as I would like, seeing them when they came into town, was the perfect amount of "home" that I needed to get me through for a little while (not knowing I would be heading home a week from then).

The second and probably biggest highlight/surprise was being able to go home this past weekend for Memorial Day. It was a plan and a last minute one at that put together by my dad who figured it would be as good as any to come down and see everyone. I was able to get a great workout with my CrossFit Krypton family that has meant so much to me over the last 6 months. Even when I am away, I still always feel like I am apart of that gym. It was an amazing time spent with friends and family and a great weekend all together. God has put so many people in my life that have influenced me and for that I have to be thankful for everything. I live my life everyday for Him because he the reason I am here in New York City in the first place.

June is going to be a great month full of new adventures that I can't wait to see what all happens. Never forget why you are in a certain place in life, and remember that everything happens for a reason, you just sometimes have to wait to figure out what that reason is... Be blessed and I hope you all have a great weekend!

Cheers!
